Freshmen year we call go into college with our tails between our legs and lowkey we are super nervous about everything and how its going to go. However when we got to this class right away I could tell that this was going to be the place to let your hair now. Personally Ive never like English, I thought it was a waste of a class for two main reasons. For one, I know how to speak english already, and for two, Why do we have a class where we just read. It was kind of stupid to me, but hey I don't make the rules I just have to follow them. It was great coming to this class and right away feeling welcomed. I loved it becuase everyone there was in the same boat. Everyone was new to the expereience and everyone was a little nervous. Right away we all warmed up to each other simply because our amazing teacher made it so easy for us to feel welcomed.
The work in this class has been more then interesting. I feel as if we have spoken on all the crazy things that are possible to talk about. I love that fact that we are able to debate all of our beliefs then at the end of class walk away smiling and laughing about all the craziness that just happened. The conversations that we have are so interesting. They really do bring out an amazing class, because we get to see how people really feel about certain problems. Its so interesting and it also helps us to know each other better! The peer editing that we do actually helps me, im not completely sure about the others because im not them, BUT it helps me becuase I get feedback from everyone! This is a great class and I will always recommend it to everyone I know that has to take it! Thanks Liz and everyone for making me actually like an english class!

Morning twitter babes ;)
Everyone has that person they love to watch, stalk, listen to, be like, follow, and be like. People have become so involved in what celebrities they love, they watch them, and follow them with some things such as twitter. People care about their ideals but the question most of us have for them is quit simple. Do they really care about their fans? Personally I feel like their aren't a lot of celebrities that do, however there are some that do. My personal favorite would have to be Khloe Kardashian. This is someone that personally I follow on twitter and feel comfortable about calling her a person I'm a fan of.
Normal people like myself like to post on twitter our random thoughts, as well as twitting about stars we love. The biggest thing that people try and do is get the stars to tweet them back! It's always a big deal if you tweet someone that you look up to and they tweet you back. You will see all over Facebook, instagram, twitter, and anything else the excitement that goes on when someone's favorite star tweets them. Some stars go out of their way to tweet back their fans, however there are someone that don't. One thing that I absolutely love about Khloe is that she always tweets people back! It makes you feel good as a person because she replies making it seem like she is humbling herself to our level.
Khloe has become one of my favorite people to follow simply because when she post on twitter she isn't just posting about stupid shit that nobody gives a care about. She loves to have fun on twitter! Talking about funny stuff that's going on, having her serious moment and talking about big problems going on, as well as having her inspirational posts. It always feels good to read the post that Khloe puts up because it's almost like she is making it personal to you! Like she wants to add you into her life and let you know everything that is going on. It's even better when she post her random at times post about how much she loves her fans! It's always something that makes you smile and happy.
Today I got on twitter to see what Khloe was talking about. I smiled once I read what she posted because its something that is important to me and something that I wanted to started doing and taking more important in my own personal life. It was actually somewhat of a insperation that made me go work out today. " to my fans and friends, thanks for all the love! Trying to keep up with my health goals, I wish you all the best in your workouts! Luv ya" I absolutely love when people post insperational things like that!
It's things like that which show me how real Khloe can be. She doesn't want to be this famous for nothing loser girl that's just pretty. She's a real humble person that just loves having fun and that's something that I appricate. The greatest thing about Khloe is how she's never changed! That real image that she gives off is really her. She generally just loves having fun and being silly like normal people. Personally that's a big reason why I think people like her the most out of the kardashians.

A world with no art. . .
Everywhere
you turn something new is popping up about the loss of money in schools. A lot
of schools are cutting teachers, their salaries, and even their retirement
benefits. It’s a sad situation that is taking over the country and there has
yet to be a solution for it. However, there are even schools that are taking
out vital programs so they can save money as much as possible. Personally how
would you feel if you found out that all the programs you loved in school are
being cut? Sadly this is a reality that is happening in America to a lot of the
students. Art programs, sports programs, the things that students truly love to
do are being cut. Students are slacking in school now because what they love to
do is no longer their motivation. Something needs to be done with this and it
needs to happen fast, because without art, we have no culture.
I
remember my junior year of high school I was captain of my dance team. We were
amazing, winning Regionals, state, and placing well in Nationals. Banners from
our competitions hung proudly on the walls of our gym and everyone knew who we
were. I recall one day my coach bringing us to her office saying that our dance
program along with other things were being cut because the school could no
longer afford to pay for them. Either we lost teachers or we lost our program.
Instantly I was thrown back by the fact our family was being split. Dance was
something we all did together sense our freshmen year, and now the school was
cutting it. That just didn’t make sense to me and I refused to even try and
understand it. However after having my moment, I went into solve the problem
mode, but first I had to look into what was going on.
In
Nevada we have ratings for our schools, ratings such as 1-5, and 5 was the
best. When the district choose to close a program down or cut teachers or
students they started with the worst schools and then worked their way up.
However, if your school was ranked five your school was pretty much granted to choose
what programs had to be cut, and you could even fight it and not let there be
any cuts. This was great news because my high school was ranked a five school.
So instantly I thought a conversation with the principal and the deans and any
other high up school administration that I knew could help us needed to be had.
My
team and I spoke to the administration and they basically told us that if we
could get over 450 signatures they wouldn’t cut the dance program. This was
great news for us however sad for girls baseball because then they would be
getting cut. My team was something I would fight for and that’s just what we
did making sure that we got all of our signatures. The dance program was saved
and the girl’s baseball team was also saved because they found out about the
five school rating that we had, and worked something out.
For
my school this was a great thing. Our programs did not get cut, however for
most schools in America their story didn’t end the same way. Music programs are
being cut left and right. Dance programs are rarely in schools anymore. Theatre
programs are being cut do to the lack of people showing up for their shows.
Students are being crushed because their number one passions have been cut. America
is showing a bad example for the rest of the world. How do you cut programs
from schools? It’s so easy to cut other things that are not needed yet you
chose to cut children’s futures. Most countries honor the arts; however our
country cuts them because they aren’t important enough.

The things I dont know. . .
Being a blogger was never something big on my list of things to do before I die. So making this blog is something totally new and different for me! Are there rules to having a blog? Are there things I can and cant say? What kind of things should I say on this blog? Are they better off funny or seriously? See these are the things that I dont know!! Its ok though, because I strongly plan on finding all the proper things to put on a blog. Things that will help you get inside the mind of a dancer like me. So i leave you with one of my favorite sayings. Live.Love.Breath.Dance.
